EOPS has a limited number of slots for new applicants for the FALL 2017 semester. Click on Fall 2017 EOPS application to download the form. The application is also available in the EOPS Office on the Pleasant Hill Campus and at the San Ramon Campus Information Desk in the West Lobby. Click on the Application Cover Page for more details about the application process. The application period will close on Friday, August 25, 2017 or until we reach program capacity, whichever comes first. Due to high demand and limited space, depending on the volume of applications received, the application period may close early. Applications must be submitted in person either to the EOPS Office located in the Student Services Center (1st floor - room 127) or to the San Ramon Campus Admissions and Records Office.
Prior to submitting an application, potential applicants must meet the following pre-application requirements:
The EOPS program is a highly impacted program. Only eligible students will be offered a space on a first-come, first-served basis based on need and state guidelines for EOPS eligibility. In order to be accepted in the program and begin receiving services, applicants must attend an EOPS new student orientation and meet with a counselor to develop an EOPS educational plan. Students are encouraged to apply early in order to complete all application steps prior to the semester.
Eligible EOPS students, who are single parents who are participating in CalWORKs/TANF , and have children thirteen years of age or younger, may also apply for the CARE Program. If you are a potential CARE student or would like more information, please contact the EOPS Office. Additional steps are required to apply for CARE. The program will notify you if you may be potentially be CARE-eligible.

FALL 2017 PROGRESS REPORT DEADLINE IS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31. 2017
Beginning in Fall 2015, the EOPS program has instituted a mid-semester progress report deadline. For Fall 2017 all EOPS students must submit their required EOPS Progress Reports by Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in order to receive credit for this program requirement. New requirements established to receive a priority registration date
As of Fall 2014, in order for students, including EOPS students, to receive a Priority Registration date, the following must be completed:

EOPS/CARE will be planning a number of special events and beneficial workshops for the semester. Visit the EOPS events page to see what workshops, campus tours, and special events we have planned. RSVP is required for most events so check the events page often and inquire in the office if you are interested in attending.

Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)
Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is committed to meeting the unique educational needs of students hindered by language, social, and economic disadvantages. Eligible students may receive a wide variety of services including, but not limited to, individualized counseling, peer support, book vouchers, and academic and transfer assistance.
Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE)
Single parent students with dependent children under the age of 14 receiving CalWORKs, county cash aid, may also qualify for the CARE program. CARE provides additional support services such as study-time child care grants, supply vouchers, daily meal on campus, and specialized workshops and events.
